My name is Matt Velic and I’m a data professional. What does that mean? I work with data. What’s my background? I’ve worked with Microsoft SQL Server as a database administrator (DBA) and developer. I also design and develop web sites with a specialty in WordPress.

My goal is to make sure that everyone has the proper resources available to succeed. Towards this goal, I try to remain active in the community by blogging as well as speaking and attending events. My CV, as it were, includes moderating Lightning Talks at the 2010 PASS Summit and running communications for SQL Saturday DC.
